Little English 3 - Reading 3.4.1

Introduction:
Since our ancestors came from deep within Africa, humankind has been inhabiting the earth for millions of years. It wasn't until astronauts flew into space and caught a glimpse that we were able to witness the overall appearance of this spherical celestial body.

"Until you climb to the top of a mountain, you can't see the true face of the mountain." Only when one can break through the default categories of their native culture can they achieve a broader mind and a freer soul, while also gaining a more objective and enriched perspective on their native culture.

Language learning is by no means just about words, sentences, or conversations; it connects to ways of thinking on one end and culture and perspectives on the other. It is not merely a solitary childhood game but rather a vast system project that ultimately influences an individual's values, ways of thinking, cultural perspectives, and aesthetic abilities.

As it is a serious and long-term matter, we hope children are prepared for perseverance. As Confucian once said: "Build a fortress and fight a stupid battle." There is no shortcut better than consistent perseverance. Children who can "make daily progress without interruption" will surely achieve something.

Education is about what remains after forgetting all the knowledge learned. Let us assume: if children were to forget all the knowledge they acquired from learning little English, what would we hope they retain? We wish for them to keep open-mindedness, a habit of deep thinking; we wish for them to maintain an inclusive attitude, a curious heart.

Little English:
Little English refers to the main course for synchronized learning of vocabulary, grammar, sentence structures, and spoken English. The course is divided into four levels, and this APP represents Level 3.

Level 2 consists of 7 units:

1. Unit 1:
   • Vocabulary: in front of, behind, between.
   • Sentence: The lion is in front of the tree.
   • Conversation: Where is the lion? It is in front of the tree.
2. Unit 2:
   • Vocabulary: fly, swim, climb, stomp, dance, sing.
   • Sentence: I can swim.
   • Conversation: Can you jump? Yes, I can / No, I can’t.
3. Unit 3:
   • Vocabulary: jacket, coat, shirt, skirt, dress.
   • Sentence: I am wearing a jacket.
   • Conversation: What are you wearing? I am wearing a jacket.
4. Unit 4:
   • Vocabulary: shorts, slipper, boot, sunglasses, glove.
   • Sentence: I am wearing shorts.
   • Conversation: What are you wearing? I am wearing shorts.
5. Unit 5:
   • Vocabulary: spring, summer, autumn, winter.
   • Sentence: It is spring.
   • Conversation: What is the season? It is spring.

Completing all seven units will take approximately three months. Students can also study simultaneously with our printed materials (including reading materials) for optimal effectiveness.
